Well done to Gregg Smith, Ali Ledingham, Robert Marrs and Fergus Ledingham who will look to feature in the game, as well as travelling squad members John Story and Will Miller. All are former Wigton juniors and all are proud to wear the blue of Cumbria.

I also take this opportunity to congratulate coaches, Malcolm Brown (coach extraordinaire), Mike Scott and Dan Bowman as well as the skipper, Ian McDowell who have led the squad so well.

There is a bus full of Wigton supporters travelling down and they take with them the best wishes of all those left behind (because we don’t have a passport and Kendal is as far south as we like to get).

I hope everyone enjoys the experience and the Green Machine helps inspire Cumbria to another victory at ‘The Home of Rugby’.
