 Green Machine Back on Track

Great response from the boys after the Ellis disappointment – full marks to the Zebras for seizing the initiative on the day but with still 17 games to go  - Heaton Moor...

Return of David Wanning and Huggy Bear gave us some shape (and shut Smelly up – ‘find me some props’!!)

Pack in general did the business – Mathew Atkinson again no chocks?? SSS did remember. The unlucky JB went with the 2’s and produced a memorable man of the match (go-on Ginge) just ahead of GM Junior!

Pack target for next game – play from 1 minute not 30 minutes! Not everyone will be so accommodating in the future.

CP missed out and learned a lesson – 5 a side on Fridays not too smart – lesson learnt! CS back in after 4 weeks out with the 2nds and what a return! Less flair, more steel – this is November remember!

Wigton ‘Warriors’ v Cosmopolitan ‘Cosmos’

Having scored tries for fun this season the Moor ‘Cosmos’ were brought into line by the ‘Wigton Boys’ behind the scrum.

DH (20) CS/RM (18) JW (19) TG (20) against Smetana / Stourac / Silva / Classen / Ogden – smith / Stirrup et al.

The young boys did well with AB at 9 and DW at 15 giving a bit of direction to things – not all positive unfortunately (9).

Long way to go but a good result at Burnley puts us top with 16 left to play – the builders in the squad have laid a good foundation now 1 course at a time to top things out with skilled men providing a quality finish.

Special mention to JW for his debut role – just got him mom ahead of RM and a joint effort from DW / SCa / AB – 7 smashing scrums!!!

These boys have all come through from the colts – testimony to the hard work of NF / TR / GS / S’G’B and look whats coming for dessert – PV / AL / SN / ES / TM / TF / AC to name just 7 out of 24!!

Just need to get TV / AP and CK turning out to make it 27 – keep them going Euan!

TV Armchair has re-signed from Black Reds after 3 years - trained last night with Colts - goes into squad for big game with Billingham on Sat!! Now 25!!!
